Grace is processed and interrogated for the murder of Max Laszlo. Meanwhile, Jimmy attempts to makes amends with Alec, but the relationship is beyond repair. Alec calls a meeting with Jimmy’s crew. He informs the men that Jimmy knew Grace was a cop all along. Alec is taking over from his father, and asks the crew to join him. A few oblige. Lloyd and Walt stay loyal to Jimmy. Mitch continues his investigation into the conspiracy surrounding Sam’s death, despite Grace’s plea to leave the case alone. Wilson helps Mitch track down a lead concerning an inconsistency in Max’s old arrest report – it seems the arrest was staged. Grace is being uncooperative and is thrown into general holding. She picks a fight with an inmate, is badly beaten, and sent to the hospital. Mitch discovers a connection between Max and another detective at Oakland Police Department.
